The End of Summer

It seems like it was only yesterday that I posted about the beginning of summer.  This weekend, we have its unofficial end.  Sure the calender still says it is Summer, but the shore will begin to close up after this weekend and people will begin to stay local instead of taking in as much of the beach as they can.  Soon, the weather will start to get colder, the holidays will roll around, and I will be posting about snow storms again.  Hopefully this time I will be living much closer to work than I do now.

For some reason, there is always a bit of sadness at this time.  We look back on the memories we made and we also look back at the plans we never got to do this year.  I know for me, I do not even know where I will be living next year.  This weekend I am enjoying four days off of work, which is a much needed rest for me.  I will be spending time with family and friends and just enjoying some leisure time.

So before Fall and Winter begin their march let us all take this weekend to enjoy the weather and thank God for the Summers we do get to enjoy.  I know we all have problems, and some even have major problems.  They may not take a break from us, but we can usually take a break from them.  Let us do that this weekend and take a moment to enjoy the family and friends and good weather that God has given us.

God bless you all and enjoy your weekend
But I have trusted in Your mercy; My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation. Psalm 13:5 NKJV
