Christians Are Human, Too -- Regarding Hands On Original T-Shirts

Even in America, Christians are targeted for persecution.   I was reading the news today and read a story regarding a Christian-owned T-shirt company in Kentucky.  The company is called Hands On Originals and a local homosexual group had asked them to produce T shirts for a gay pride event.  The message on the shirt was offensive to the Christian owner and so he turned the job down.  The gay pride group filed a human rights complaint against Hands On Originals and now they are subject to an intrusive investigation and possible fines.  A boycott (how predictable) was also called against this company and another group is actually attempting to purchase their mortgage so they can evict the business from their location.  So far the company is standing firm in their convictions and so long as they stand firm, we need to support them.  I say that because this company was targeted for destruction by an evil organization.
If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you, 'A servant is not greater than his master.' If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also. But all these things they will do to you for My name's sake, because they do not know Him who sent Me. If I had not come and spoken to them, they would have no sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin.  John 15:19-22 NKJV
We remind the world that it is dead in its sin.  They hate us because of that.  They try to make us look evil, obsolete, intolerant, and hateful.  That is why our witness is so important.  Every time we are caught in sin, we bring shame to God and help to justify the world's sins.  They use us an an example to portray us as hypocrites.  We must take a stand for righteousness.  We must take that stand in our own lives and keep ourselves from getting entangled in the sins of others.  This business is doing the absolute right thing by refusing to make those T-shirts.  They are refusing to compromise their values in promoting sin.  It is their stand that shines the spotlight of truth on the sin of the homosexual group.  In return, the homosexual group is attempting to show that they are actually the righteous group and the Christians are the ones who are evil.  In fact, the openly gay mayor of Lexington, Kentucky has said “People don’t have patience for this sort of attitude today.”  Once again, the homosexual movement is trying to victimize another while claiming they are the victims.  They may be right in their own minds, but they are not right before God.
Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Woe to [those who are] wise in their own eyes, And prudent in their own sight!  Isaiah 5:20-21 NKJV
So how can I say that this company was specifically targeted?  The facts tell that story.  First of all, if you went to the Hands On Original website, they are clearly a Christian company.  In fact, on their website, just under their logo, it says "Christian Outfitters."  Secondly, the company offered to find another company to produce the T-shirts who would do so at the same price.  And, finally, the organized reaction.  This was purposeful and vindictive and meant to destroy a company that promotes Christian ideals.  They wanted to destroy this company and baited them into a situation that would either cause them to compromise their values or open them up to persecution.  To the world, it may seem like a brilliant plan, but to God their plans are as foolish and wicked as their lifestyle.
For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, "He catches the wise in their [own] craftiness"; and again, "The LORD knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile." 1 Corinthians 3:19-20 NKJV
From Emperor Nero to now the GLSO in Kentucky, man has tried a variety of schemes to demoralize, demonize, and eradicate Christianity.  It has never worked.  It never will work.  The only thing that will remove the influence of Christianity from the earth is when Jesus removes His church in the rapture.  Until that time, there will always be a remnant spreading the message of the Cross.  Their plan may seem to be working just as they planned.  They are wrong. It is working just as planned, but as planned by God.  God knew of their plans before the foundations of the world and what they mean for evil God will turn to good.

We must stand for righteousness in the dark and perilous times.  It is not going to get better but it will get worse.  In effect, Christians are not longer considered human.  You may think that sounds silly, but bear with me.  This so-called human rights council in Kentucky is considering charges against a Christian business-owner who apparently has no human right to the convictions of his faith.  However, the GSLO has a human right to have their T-shirts made by this specific company.  It should be the other way around.  The GSLO, in this nation, has every right to their T-shirts and can get them made by a variety of companies.  Their rights are not violated by going to a different company.  On the other hand, this Christian man who owns this business would be forced to compromise his values if he should make those T-shirts.  So, in the end, we have the GSLO (a civil rights organization), a mayor (a public official affecting the free religious exercise of another), and the Human Rights Commission of Lexington Kentucky (a group commissioned to protect against human rights violations) all conspiring to strip the religious rights of one man.  Ironically, they call him the hypocrite.  Either they are the hypocrites or Christians are not human.  I wonder which one they believe.
And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose [them]. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light. Therefore He says: "Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light." See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.  Ephesians 5:11-16 NKJV
